5/5 this is an inavative Idea. So simple, but no one's thought of it. Ladies and gentlemen we have found the new age of flourishing

trashmanf

you say "no one's thought of it" but you really mean "i've never seen this before" as n00bs, we need to be able to know the difference!

Ampersan5340

believe me trash, like many have said after yours and mine post, this is his own creation. it's ingenious and I can't believe you gave it a 4/5, even richard would've given it a 5/5

Smooth. I'm pretty sure the concept is quite old though.

Yeah. Andrei made it looong time ago... Just look in the old DN trailer for an example. Or if you can dig up some of Andrei's old videos. And I mean OLD. =) Nice video showcasing lots of nice stuff. I really liked the one at the end. Card in Spring. Neat. =D

I find it really disgusting that some people would come onto this boards and to tell Andrei that 'someone' has done this concept before. Trust me, he knows, because it is he himself who did this concept. I also find it repulsive that some guys who come onto the boards to tell him to 'keep it up.', and that he'll be 'real good soon.' Well, those guys really shouldn't. Because, you can't even match up to him. Sigh. Enough rant. Andrei, welcome back.

trashmanf

yea so sure he thought of it himself, but how can any of us know whether he was the first to EVER do it, without knowing the history? people been catching cards in packets since early 1900s, houdini and many others used to catch cards in scissors out of midair, and cut them, it's not too far of a stretch to imagine people catching cards in fans. besides de'vo said it's been done years before this, I think he's been in the game a little longer than us kids... we are all n00bs... unless you've got 20+ yrs into this? didn't think so

Jamie.Enns

your an idiot. if you think like that /\, you'll soon realize that everything has been done before. it IS possible to create things, and i'm sure you'll realize this when you want to coin a move that YOU made. de'vo can't back up **** he see's somthing cool and claims it as his own. i want proof before he says anything. Andrei was the first on the internet to do this move. considering the fact that the only card manipulation communitys have been on the internet, i think its safe to say that its his. just think next time you post.

trashmanf

lol who's the idiot? if you'd read a couple posts down you'd see that he wasn't the first on the internet. like richard says, definintely the BEST I've seen! lol

Great Scott!

Damn straight Jaspas, Andrei's been kicking ass for years. I remember the first time i saw this on your 21 ace entry man, and its still just as Amazing now as it was then. And that card twirl was nuts. Welcome back man!

elementalconjurer

Andrei

Thanks for all the support guys, I really appreciate it more than you could know. I came up with this idea quite some time ago, it's a blast actually doing it! And yes I was in the preview for Decknique. I'm glad most of you liked the concept, there's actually a bit more to it, just play around with it. I couldn't really fit into full frame..aerial moves tend to do that ya know? lol Thanks for the welcome back Scott and Jaspas! I'm glad to be back. Great to see you guys again!

KeenanG

very very nice stuff there. I've been messing with the idea of doing Long Distance spinner, than catching it in the fan. But you've taken it to a new level. Great job, Keenan

Guys I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if somebody had the idea of catching a card in a fan before Andrei. I'm sure quite a few have tried it before him. The most important thing here is that I would doubt anybody did it as well as he is in this video.

Great concept , I loved it...Andrei :) I didn't know you before, but I will make sure I remember your name :) great job once again

Andrei

Thanks Richard you do make a good point...I don't think ANYONE can claim any of their moves/stunts as the first of their kind. I'm not claiming to be the first guy to have done it...I'm not claiming to be the second guy either. I do believe, however, that I'm the first to publicly come out with it and get it as recognized as it is now. If anyone can provide me with evidence otherwise, I would love to see it. I came up with this idea and discovered it some time ago and as of now I stand my ground. PS: TrashmanF, if you would like to have a private conversation with me, I would be delighted to explain a few things to you. As far as calling everyone kids and noobs, you can speak for yourself next time please, thank you.

I HAVE seen someone do it before Andrei back in the days of TCC, but it's not half as stylish. I discovered this by accident years ago as well when a card I shot out of an LDS landed in Bone's fan when we were jamming. No one can 'claim' this, but Andrei came up with this independently and has the chops to back up his claims. Kudos to you Andrei I enjoyed this video. -Huron, The Virts

Erik

Welcome back, Andrei. Hope to see more from you soon. Amazing work as usual. I remember I used to play around with catching it in in a one handed fan after a LDS. I had no consistency whatsoever though, and I eventually gave it up. I have yet to see anybody perform this as good as you do. -Erik

Great Scott!

Sean does it out of a DFS, and it works perfectly, so Good job that Erik!!!

There was actually a flourishing video on the Penguin forums a year or two ago where a card was caught in a thumb fan, but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone else remember seeing such a video?

UnknownEnemyZero

Not that ingenious, people accidentally do it anyway. But needs to slow down on the fans man, the faster you go the crappier they look.

brodadeck

i got to say SO sexy=) may i ask percentage of you catching the card is??? still got concept 5/5

Andrei

The percentage, I have no clue, haven't really calculated. Depends on how good you are I guess, a lot also depends on the cards. Just keep trying it, after a while it becomes quite easy. For starters, make a fan in one hand and grab a card in the other, toss it up and practice like that first. Hope that helped.

jwhitney

Brilliance...... and such an eye pleaser too, I was just drawn to it the whole time. 5/5

Cyclone

Coolness... on a stick :) I'd never thought of that, but then again, I'd never thought of a lot of the idea you crazy people keep coming up with. Is it really just placing the fan under the card while it's falling, or is there some trick to it. Because I'm sure it would be much easier if you split the fan a bit, if you know what I mean...

Andrei

Yes there is a little trick to it actually. It will increase your chances tremendously, but I'll save the tutorials for it later. ;)

I do know of a DvD called Sonic Shooting ( I forgot the author ) that teaches you to shoot cards from fan to fan but i think that was after you invented this. But I agree that noone does it better than Andrei (:
