"This is a video of me and Michael Herp, shot last month. This is my first video to edit." Pretty cool clip-- kind of looks like a mix between cardistry and the Blair Witch Project.

extremely creative. your ecko cut was spot on and i loved how you used the editing to give it a kind of spookey vibe. the only crisicism is that the camera tended to jerk around too much durring the cardistry at points. other than that i thought that you really put some thought in the making of it.

That was really great. The editing was cool and the setting that you were in was definitely interesting. The music and the moves were cool too. I can't really find anything that I didn't like. Awesome job. It looked great

Ok, first the positives. I loved the intro, how you worked into the flourishes with the shots, and just the whole feel of the video. The moves were all done well, its apparent you've practiced them. Now the not so positives, I saw mostly trilogy flourishes and molecule 2 for most of the video, until the last two flourishes. The second to last i couldn't really see clearly, and couldn't tell what it was. The last one looked like mockingbird. If it was, credits probably should have been given. I'm assuming you have daren's permission. Other than that, great video. 4/5

Haha, awesome. I loved the beginning sequence of the video. That place looked like one of the spots that the TAPS crew from Ghost Hunters investigated. Keep it up. Shane K.

3/5 Editing was good, now work on the moves, get creative, because all I saw were Trilogy cuts.

i'm really amazedd that you guys thought this was so great most of it wasn't even flourishing, but just randomly waving the camera back and forth at stuff besides cards. like railroad tracks. i mean th first entire 30 seconds or something was just random. but some of the cards on thre were cool so that's good. 2/5 stars from me dogg

personally, I really liked it, very bonechilling 5/5 Pardon my language but I don't want to hear **** about originality, jordan lapping is one of the greats and he has nothing original. I'm looking at you dave tang

id rather see something original done badly than the same old DnD stuff for the thousandth time

Generally, originality is considered one of the positive points. Jordan lapping is very good, because he performs the "unoriginal" stuff better than most. You can be like jordan lapping, have no original stuff and be good, or you could be like many of the other flourishers who have their own "original" material, yet are relatively unknown, or regarded as not so great. I'm simply pointing out the lack of originality in this particular video, which I felt took away from it a little, although as i said, I liked the video itself.

The eko is really very good and the molecule 4 has a very nice beat. Good stuff in many parts. Sometimes the camera is just too shaky though.

That's your first crack at editing you say? DAMN!!! Probably the best edit I've seen in a LONG time. The music fit perfectly. I can tell you're a Tony Scott fan. Right on! dan

Thank for the comments guys. Great job Ray for your first editing job...that music sounds...familiar. The reason our flourishes weren't so great and original was because 1. it took us about two hours to finally find a way to break in and we didn't have but 15 minutes to actually shoot because we didn't want to get caught. 2. after we did get in to shoot, our hands were cut up and covered in dirt and we had to stick with flourishes we were the most familiar with. --We really would have performed a lot better if we had a wet rag with us. We also had to rush because the second level (which we did most of the shoot) was full of hundreds of boxes of important documents and files; we really didn't want to get caught. I can't wait until the owners find their warehouse open and find nothing but a deck of my absolut's on the floor...

I appreciated the editing more the the flourishing. Great job with that. It was very interesting to watch, and the music was a great fit. Where it dropped was the transition to the inside flourishing where you shot a lot of IR video. The feel was right, but the cardisty shots didn't marry up with the rest of the cinematography. It's still be proud of it though. Especially as a first crack at it!
