very fast! good doing your routine in all one continuous shot.

one thing is very strange: the realtime "clock" in the lower right hand corner... only goes to 2/10th and then goes up to the next second... like 1. 10 seconds, 1. 20 seconds, 2. 0, 2. 1, 2. 2, 3.0 ...

so what the heck is up with that ? still a good combo though.... but i still think it looks kinda choppy which could be from sped up or maybe just your style. you should do karate! 3/5 from me dogg

ARGH still no credits okay would it really be that painful to put a two second credits at the end of even ONE of your videos? obviously you got your inspiration from the Buck twins - for example the "mary jane" move and the sybils - why not give em a little credit?

To Trashman:
I just bought the Trilogy several weeks ago. I made this routine before I even knew Dan and Dave existed and before I owned any cardisty DVDs.
The sybil is my own variation on crazy cuts (which to my knowledge is very old and I am ignorant as to it's creator.) and two of the false cuts at the start are easly recognised as the Swing and Trinary cut (Which I think were created by Daryl).
I have taken film and photography classes and attended an arts school for three years and I find that adding credits to a short film makes it look amature and over dramatic.
Bizar says: (Score: 0) 9 months ago
Sure there are exceptions like Bone Ho's Furious Angels for example, but what about his Viper video, or the Eye cut video? Does Daniel Madison put credits at the end of his videos? Does Theory11 put credits at the end of their short videos? What about Richard? Did he mention all the artist names at the end of the Decknique teaser in the form of credits? If I am asked I don't have a problem crediting my videos as best as I can in the discription or in public or private comments. And I HAVE mentioned other artist names in other videos when I felt it appropriate (just check my youtube profile).
Ever since I first posted in the media section I noticed that a simple missunderstanding lead to some uneeded friction between us Trashman and I would like to put that behind us.
Thank you for taking the time to view my work and for rating my videos.
trashmanf replies: (Score: 0) 9 months ago
hey dude i'm not bashing you or mad at you as a person... i just have a different opinion about credits among other things. you think that it's amature and overdramatic to put credits? I think it's egotistical and disrespectful NOT to put credits.

regardless of our differences in opinion, I still think you're a bad azz magician and flourisher and cinematographer and editor, and I'm glad you are taking the time to share your work with us!

Okay...

Why on earth would you put a timer on there? I mean, the clip could be editted as fast as you'd like, and the timer would stay at normal speed! If anything, I'd say that gives the illusion of it not being sped up. Putting a clock in the background would work, but you would have been just as well off doing a voice over of you counting aloud.

I think it was sped up for sure...no question. If it isn't and time travels at a different speed where you live, then get muuuuuuuuuuuch smoother, because it looks really bad.
