Michael Hankins - The Harbor Change

Michael Hankins - The Harbor Change

Latest addition to our 1-on-1 training section. A stunning color change from the mind of Michael Hankins. A card is shown and - in the action of dropping the deck from one hand to another - the card visually changes.

WOW!!! That was awesome! EDIT: OK, so I figured out the trick, but the first glance was amazing! Besides, I doubt spectators will be able to figure it out.

The entire Harbor Change video is great, but the Dan Hauss cameo is particularly magical.

Thanks for all of the positive feedback. As this was my first shoot, I was pretty nervous. Having Dan Hauss next to me in his new v-neck really helped calm my nerves. That and watching ALF Season 2...

Awesome teaching and the randomness is completely hilarious. This color change is gonna be bigger than Jurassic Park 6. Just saying.

DOUBT it will be bigger than Jurassic Park 6...I mean did you see the cast? Ed Norton as T-Rex, Bob Hope as himself, Richard Pryor as Volloci, the raptor and Ed Marlo as Bruce Lee...Oh, by the way, it is gonna be a musical.

ANOTHER CHANGE....

Initially..YES. More application that are COMPLETELY different than a card change? YES ...Dan Hauss topless? YES...c'mon. Can't go wrong...

Im not trying to take anything away from you at all. In my opinion (which i realize doesnt count for much), any color change could have numerous applications. This, to me, is just the same in the spectators eyes (which is what matters most)

This is a great sleight...I've know Mike for several years and when he told me about it I just had to see it. So, he sent me a video. I sat for several hours watching it over and over trying to figure it out. Then he tells me it is going to be on Theory11 and I knew I had to get it. I get it and find out he threw in several apps for it too...it doesn't get much better than that. I have not messed with magic for quite a while but this move has reignited my desire to learn more and improve what I already know. Great job Mike

Excellent color change/utility Mike...This is one of the few and most fun changes that i've had the pleasure of learning and performing. Definitely will add this to my repetoire. Really looking forward to other projects in the future -Steve

Nothing new, just a minor variation on an old idea published by Marlo (first seen on a video in 1972). This is not the first time T11 takes and old color change (again from Card Finesse by the way), renames it, and sells it as something original.

The variation which one would say was minor was considered to be MAJOR by names like Darwin Ortiz, Allan Ackerman and Dan Garrett. The variation was so different in fact, that one could consider it to be a new handling for an old technique. Credit was given where credit was due in my video. However, I did send Ineski a private message regarding the move published by Marlo. Billy McDonnell, who was a personal student of Ed Marlo showed me what I believe to be the sleight which Ineski is referring to, and even Billy thought it was much different in such a way to be able to do with this more than just a change. As seen in my video, there are a number of applications that can be utilized with this utility move. In no way am I trying to take credit for any sort of sleight that the masters of the past have come up with. This was said in my video. I am an honest, hard-working magician and in no way do I want to, nor plan on stealing anything.
