Much better than pick whip, but whoever did the editing on this video needs to seriously rethink their editing style... very poor for showcasing the move. I had a hard time actually seeing what the move was. Edit: I just rewatched the preview, and it actually made me NOT want to buy Genesis. Could you not find some music a little more original? Could you really not just focus on one clip not just small snippets or clips spliced together. YUCK, that's what I have to say about this video. Please do us a favor and just remove this video. If Genesis has this type of music in it (repetitive, generic), I will not be purchasing it.

I think its hilarious how you base an instructional flourishing DVD off music:)

"...a little more original"? You are of course entitled to your opinion, but it's worth noting that theory11 is just about the ONLY major company in magic that produces original music for use in each and every production. We spent almost two full weeks on the Genesis title soundtrack alone (used in the full preview) - Wes Craun knocked it out of the park. The music used in this clip, I believe, was at max utilized in one other project, and was created entirely from scratch by Dana Hocking. If that's not the definition of "original music," then I don't know what is. That said, UnknownMagician93 is correct - if you're buying Genesis based on music preferences, I would argue that priorities may not be in the right place.

JB, perhaps I was a little harsh, and I do apologize. It's just that the track used in this preview was way to repetitive from 0:11 to 0:35. It's very generic and I've heard very similar arrangements used a million times before. I was just hoping that generic and repetitive music wasn't going to be used in the DVD. Dana Hocking is usually very original. I just didn't feel that this track fit well with this preview. I watched the official Genesis preview and the music is epic, I don't have any complaints there. It's just the music used in preview for Flashback. I'm a huge fan of Rock and Metal, and I've heard much better. I guess if you knew the type of musical artists I listen to you'd understand why I hold my music to such a high standard. Music is definitely a priority for me. I would like to think of Genesis as simply just another "instructional flourishing dvd". I would like to think of it as the all encompassing, digital cardistry experience of the next 5 years. If i'm going to refer to something often in Genesis, I'd like to be able to rely on awesome music, not something that's going to drive me crazy after the 5th time through. If you look above, I'm not the only one who felt that way. Ramo D. agreed in not so many words. I'm just trying to provide constructive criticism to let you know that there are people out there not pleased with the preview and who felt it was not showcasing the DVD well. There are better editing styles to suit the flourishing.

Valid point, and of course entitled to your opinion and personal tastes - but do note that this is not a preview video as you mentioned, it is an actual clip - 40 seconds to be precise - from the actual DVD. The preview soundtrack was composed entirely from scratch by Wes Craun / Condition.

Oh... I see. So this exact clip is used in the DVD...the music and choppy visuals... wow. I hope all of the flourish performance videos aren't like this.

dude, listen. if you don't like it, don't buy it. plain and simple. you don't have to complain about it. like jb said, you are completely entitled to your opinion, but we got the point. that last comment that you left was pretty rude. dana, andrei, jb, and everyone else are doing great job. i LOVE this clip. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE,LOVE,LOVE IT!!!! hahahahahaha!!! all due respect, nick:montes

JB-Is there a price on this yet? And I realize there are several volumes. Are they coming out with a set with a discounted price later? I would rather wait for the whole thing to come out with a discount than take a look at it one at a time. Nice preview - and by the way Dana is amazing. :)

I think the video is great because the music accompanied the movements of Andrei. The music has a fast rhythm and the movements of Andrei, and I'm sure that a talented person like Dana Hocking would make a good music like this I loved the video, and I agree with JB -Leo
