That was one of the better performance videos I have seen in a long time. Many performances, great music, camera work, everything. Awesome job! I like you for almost every effect you did, you always added your own originality to it. 5/5 for sure. -Doug

I liked it a lot, but one thing I didn't like was your patter for the Biddle Trick and ACR seemed an awfully like Oz's from Born to Perform. I also didn't like the speed of the routine. For example, in the ACR, when the card vanished from your half of the deck and appeared on theirs, you almost immediately took the cards back and moved on- this didn't really allow that phase of the effect to sink in like it should have. Work on those two things a little bit, and you'll be lots better. 4/5 for me.

Thanks a lot , I appreciate the tips, As for the biddle, you haven't seen my full routine, one the finally :P thus it's hard to understand why I said what I said ...the estimation thing... the full routine was way too long to show, besides it's one effect I really like to play around with, thus not going to be on camera for a bit. As for the ambitious, I agree with you, I liked Oz's patter, but I also modified it to fit the sleights I was more found of. The routine is cut a bit, I do a longer one , but yes the patter needs work :P In the beginning of the video you also see the asian guy slowly taking his time flipping over that top card...so me taking the deck away in the 2nd view of this phase was just a matter of I don't trust people with my deck lol , other than this yes it should have sinked in more. Thanks for taking the time to give me tips :) cheers Kate

No problem- always glad to help. I understand it all now (especially the part about not trusting people! :P), I was just giving advice on what I saw, ya know?

Actually,I think Oz's presentation on biddle trick works best all the time, and he got a lot of nice details. Can you list some better ones?

Very nice. I have a few suggestions: On your double, do not turn the card over while gripping it the entire time. Rather, turn it half way over and then let it fall onto the deck. It will appear more natural. For the ACR, sorry, but I can't stand the presentation. Try using some more interesting patter. In your card to mouth, I would suggest that you not use flourishes to distract people after you have loaded the card in your mouth, it is to showy and I believe that it weakens the impact. Its nice to see a girl out there on the streets. 4/5. -Dmagic

Thank you for the elaborate comment. I agree with all, but flourishing stays hehe. I try to promote flourishing, because that is what makes me different from most magicians in my area... Does it take away from my magic... perhaps, but I don't claim superpowers, I only try to entertain. love my job btw XD Have a good day :) Kate

Nice work.I like the D'lites work. Not that your ambitious wasn't great but I would have slowed down the patter a little bit to allow it to sink in. Ambitious routines are very often rushed (though I do mine SLOW.) Great work!! 5 stars. Trent

This is almost exactly what people need to start doing in the performances. I started a forum about this not to long ago and yours was so dam good. Two things I would recommend is slowing down your patter so it's maybe about 20 seconds longer (makes a difference) and allow their reaction to sink in more instead of just going into a different trick. Those are easy things to control though, very nice job and everybody should watch this vid and take notes. Good job 5/5 stars

" just a matter of I don't trust people with my deck lol" Isn't that the truth it just takes one time for some jerk to try something funny, to make you feel this way. Which is why I'm happy you mixed up with what you did! I thought most of it was great... and love the flourishing to distract people from the card to mouth.[I would keep it.] But since I believe no performance is perfect...I feel that you either shouldn't have included the Biddle trick, or shown the entire thing, it felt so out of nowhere without the whole thing shown!Otherwise great video.

I have to agree. Great preformance. But, only showing half of Biddle was confusing unless you know the trick...hey wait a minute...that didn't look like the same presentation from JB's 1on1!!! ;)

I would give this video more than 5/5 if I could, it's so rare to see a good street performance. I know there are a lot of guys that probably go out there and perform on the street, but I really like how natural Kate is, I mean you can learn the skills with a lot of training at home, but it takes real courage and dedication and confidence to perform for strangers. Kate, you are a true magician in my book :)

Wow, like everyone else said, that video was great. Such a great mix of different tricks, and you hit good groups of spectators. Personally I like the flourishes while waiting for someone to look at the card in your mouth. I do a couple cuts, then a modified tent vanish to make the card appear in my mouth and the reactions are good. Did you make that music? I thought it was cool, and watched the video again to listen to it.

I like that card to mouth with the charlier cuts. The guy looked like he got punched by a baby kangaroo. haha You're performances have been practiced a lot. The suspense you created with the 7 of hearts was really good.

I cant really describe what that was. Amazing doesn't cut it. But It'll have to do Great Job! That blew me away. The Card to mouth phase was perfect, and I was having trouble with it. The flourish after they push the card in sat very well Great Job once again!
