clever idea, but be more smooth with your movements prior to the change. Gave it away for me.

No his isn't gimmicked. It reminds me of one I saw an an E promo video....I think it was for a gaff deck it had a moving pip trick to it)....I don't know how they did the change but it may be similar... -PTG

Thank you all so much for the praise. Jason Soll- thanks for the advice, I'll take it into account as I practice and perform the change. jakobhs (I had trouble memorizing that username!)- It isn't gimmicked, no dupes or double backers. PTG- I've used a basic sleight (yes, taught on some E DVDs) and reworked it so it becomes a color change. Anyway, I guess this is an original color change now? It would be really great if one of the artists could comment and tell me what they think & their thoughts on the originality of the change- I guess I'm dreaming...

But on the e- video it is used as color change as well so no I would not say it was original with you. One can use erdnase change to vanish a card from top of the deck but it is still an erdnase color change used to create another effect.

Justin Darosa, This principle has been around for sometime and due to that fact I can't think of an exact place or name to give you as citation for its use. The subtelty you've incorporated as a show before the change and after the change, while clever, has also been approached before. Once again, citation slips my mind. It's a very good thing that you're thinking and developing on your own. Is it original or groundbreaking, not exactly. I commend you on your efforts to think about things in a new light, utilize subtelty, though with discrepancy, etc. However, as is stated in Vernon's ultimate secrets of card magic, Dr. Daley was known for saying that a good trick has to hvae a discrepancy. Anywho, God Bless and I wish you the best with your magic and life. -B

Well, it's not excactly a "magician fooler", but I think it will stump most specs pretty darn good.. I especially liked all the convincers, makes it seem more "impossible". Easy is the way to go :D 5 / 5 for a great method!

Thanks so much guys.. Bryan: I really appreciate your lengthly comment. It really gives me a good understanding of the originality of the change. I do understand that the PRINCIPLE is no where near original, but what I'm trying to say is that it hasn't really been used in this way before. Marbjo: Thanks so much for the praise. It means a lot. AND WHO RATED ME A 3- MAKING MY RATING NO LONGER PERFECT??!!! kidding, kidding :D

What the hell?! ace18, you don't have to give a -1 score for every comment that praises the change and give a +1 for every comment that says the change isn't original. Grow up, sore loser.

Sore loser? When did anyone win? I have posted nmerous examples showcasing that this move is not yours, it has been used the same way before! You just don't seem to get it.

eh... kind of obvious but i guess it was performed as well as can be expected.

Obvious? To who? Magicians? Well, I don't perform for magicians.

i dont think just to magicians. I dont want to expose anything but you are basically doing exactly what it looks like you are doing. I mean a laymen that wants to figure it out is just going to say, ok well why would he wave the bottom half of the deck over the top? and right there they will have the answer.
