"Two face-up cards switch. It's basically a combination of the Invisible Pass and TiVo 2.0 by Dan & Dave."

Good demonstration but i dont see how it could effect spectators
JFarMagic replies: (Score: 0) 4 months ago
It just depends on who your spectators are... At theory 11 odds are that they are people that appreciate a "good demonstration". No I probably would never do this for anyone other than family and close friends, but it is still a "good demonstration"

Not a bad idea and quite visual! However I personally prefer the idea of color changes as it looks more magical to laymens.

Who's to say from a different angle it wouldn't look like i color change? I should have probably experimented with that a little more…

It's a good idea but i think the technical aspect of the effect took away the visualness of the effect. made the transposition too choppy
jonraiker says: (Score: 0) 4 months ago
Looks like it was more of a sick display of cardsmanship, rather than an actual workable effect (at least, not just yet). I love the idea!

I like this because it showcases complex slight of hand. If you can get it down smooth, this could work well =)

Yuck, Coheed and Cambria. I liked the idea though! If you made that even faster it would look amazing.

Nice technical skill but why bother making your life more difficult when you can just perfect Tivo 2.0?
trashmanf says: (Score: 0) 4 months ago
I liked how you did underpressure and the pass was okay, I don't think it's much of a magical effect since you're basically exposing the pass, plus you were a little sketchy (it wasn't very clean you had to square up and move the queen a bit) but since I enjoyed it so much, I rated you a 4/5 stars from me dogg! thank god I had the sound off I hate coheed and cambria, so emo
JFarMagic replies: (Score: 0) 4 months ago
haha yea just to let you know guys its not coheed and cambria... not much better lol but still. Yea i agree that the music wasn't a good choice, I felt like that hype of the video required something more intense, and i did mean to change it, but I forgot lol
nicoloco says: (Score: 0) 4 months ago
Wow it must have took a bit of time to get it to that speed but your still too slow... sry but still as some comments say your just exposing the pass completely, and just tivo 2.0 would look better but still my and others opinions not everyones though so keep up, 4/5 for the amount of skill znd time you put into it but i'm still trying to clean my ears from that horrible music

Ps: I have a variation of Tivo 2.0 that i made up called FUT 2.0 it's sick and blows laymen and hecklers away! i might post it up soon so if you ever see it try and figure it out something most great magicians can do.

Ciao Nico
JFarMagic replies: (Score: 0) 3 months ago
The pass is only "exposed" if you know exactly what to look for... I have shown many laymen this effect and they didn't have a clue what was happening. Even the few beginning (know what the pass is, but don't have it mastered) magicians I have shown still didn't know exactly how it was done.
Izzy says: (Score: 0) 4 months ago
That was pretty impressive and visual. The only thing is that your method is too exposed.

It's really helpful! this is alot harder then the pass because it has two more moves. But the pass is probably the most useful sleight I have ever used!

Dude, that looks great. I loved the choppiness of it. I think that it looks great! At least from the behind the scenes technical aspect, that magicians know. Now, laypeople may not get the same effect, but regardless I thought it was awesome!

I wouldn't call that 'Next Generation', but it was quite different and a new way to do things.

I too ahve played around with this.

And about the exposure, etc. The camera is very close to the cards. In a real life situation with all the misdirection, etc, this effect would play out much better.

It just seems a little tacky to do.
