Whoah, that was insane. First time I've been fooled in a while, well done. EDIT: I was just wondering how you achieved the effect of having the red Ace of Hearts as the only colour in the video? Thank you.

DLeerium

Hey Emogician! Umm I think TheCuso explains it on his youtube account. its called the Sin city effect. Otherwise you can just filter the color out using you video editor. -Dl

nice until the end.. what is the difference between useing a camera trick and what you did at the end?? Little out of the frame action that could never be done irl is what I guess is the answer. I don´t know about you guys but I hate to be decived by that kind of trickery. If an effect can not be done irl, what is the point of puting it on video? The elevator move looks great btw:)

I respect you criticism senchi. This actually can be done in real life and I actually have with people looking directly at the packet (part of ACR). Many deck disappearances can occur in real life with a little bit of misdirection.

senchi

But why don´t you put that video up.. I mean I would love to see a feat like that performed for real people.. It would be a 100% miracle. Anyways, what is possible to do is one thing, but what you do on the video is a camera trick. Thats my whole point. But, fortunately there are enough kids here to acknowledge you as a miracle maker...

Saw that on youtube already...But it´s really awesome =) great job dude

AWESOME! I never saw the ending coming. Where can I get this trick????

senchi

this is basicaly a camera trick. He simply drops the deck to the floor but you can´t see it because its out of frame..

You should have credited Arron Fisher for PANIC but oh well. That was amazing!!!

Aaron is not the first to vanish a deck of cards and leave four of a kind.... :)

Jalal

Nice job, great use of misdirection. That moment is perfect to ditch the deck, fooled me. By the way this could very easily be performed in real life, lapping is used all the time by magicians in the real world.

senchi

Yeah right. Try and shoot a video of you doing it. By the way.. it had nothing to do with the missdirection..

sjsawyer

Yeah, right, it is very possible. Maybe not standing like in this video, but don't cut possibilities short when you're unaware of their extent yourself.

DLeerium

Lol thx Shaun. I was actually sitting down :) But yes its possible to do a deck disappearance. Performing magic in real life is different to that on video, as misdirection will only work once in a video, and then the viewer will just rewind and re watch. If you want to see video's of some people doing deck disappearances senchi try watching, Liam Walsh perform in one of his videos, and also Derren Brown (Devils picturebook), who is a pro at Lapping.

senchi

Guys. Of course, there is great magic and deck vanishes using lapping techniques. But this video does not demonstrate such skill. I feel misunderstood here.

I'm fooled and at the same time impressed. The 4 was an accident I couldn't change. So if I give this a 5, that means the commercialized (similar) item or two are like 2 or 3 stars Truth is.... Using a measure of whats out there... Where my 'wasted dollars lay... This deserves a large 6 or more biggie STARS ! ! !.

this was great! Wasnt expecting the ending whatsoever. Nice twist ;) why do people think this is not peformable in real life? I do deck vanishes quite often in real life (Not panic) doing it on webcam does make it easier, but its still dooable in real life

senchi

Yes. Deck vanishes are performable in real life. But as you know you do need some heavy misdirection. Having to ditch 52 cards while the focus is on your hands is quite impossible. I challenge you to do it in front of an audience. In case of this trick, you need to let go of the cards by releasing them with fingers. I bet it would be both visible and audible..

AlexKistner

its not impossible if you knew magic or have seen magic at all you would know an Effect By David Williamson where one card at a time travels to the pocket and the entire deck follows right in front of your eyes DLeerium nice work..

senchi

little ****y... First of all I own almost everything David Williamson has published:) and I know thing or two about magic:) Read previous post when making a comment so you don´t come across as stupid. If you compare what David did with this video then you really don´t know so much yourself. What can be done irl and what the guy on this video does are two different things. I mean I could make a video of me flying using some camera trickery. It does not make me David Copperfield who actually does it in front of live audience.

copperfield 14

Don't be stupid senchi. It's not impossible to do. Many magicians have done a deck vanish with enough misdirection.

senchi

I am not stupid.. thats what I said (plz. read my comment).Of course you can do a deck vanish just not like he does it on a video!!! Prove me wrong by doing it the way he does in front of live audience.

Amane

Very clever idea. My only bone to pick is that you should work on getting your breaks in between moves. The pull-ups with your thumb aren't very pretty. Try working in a pinky pull down instead, or getting the breaks while you are showing the front of the deck to the audience (when you show them the card has traveled up the deck a bit). I had that problem when I first started using this move as well but quickly corrected it. You'll see that it'll improve your performance fluidity greatly. Nicely done with the ending. 5/5 =)

DLeerium

That is actually really good advice Amane. Thanks for the tip :P

I agree with senchi that it'd be better with a non-camera-trick version, but, it still took me by surprise so that was cool. Ineski put a clip up not that long ago of himself lapping a whole deck under heavy misdirection, so it can be done live. I gave it a 3/5 stars from me dogg.

DLeerium

Respect your opinion. Its actually my finisher to my ACR routine at a table, so I do perform this live. But i thought it would look better close up and all around exposed + I made this to introduce this idea into the magic community. ps: Do you perform magic? and Don't call me Dogg
