Why so emotional with this video? It reminds me of how they presented the game Halo 3, they made the trailers soo emotional, with the music, the messages, and all that -- it's just a guy with a helmet shooting aliens!!

the golf ball method isn't the only one, though it's easier to use it than the impromptu method. i'm curious of that's what they're repackaging, or if it's something different altogether.

It's done better than i thought it would/could be..
I mean...how hard is it to show that your pulse has stopped by LOOKING at a video? (except if your veins are extremely close to your skin so you can actually see it pulsing).

Didn't Luke Jermay already do this? Sorry to break the mood but there are tons of pulse-stopping effects and Luke Jermay came up with one that in my opinion is way better. I don't know what this one looks like though so I might be wrong but Luke Jermay has a no-gimmick pulse stop that he does on himself AND on another person. As for the watch stopping or whatever it sounds nothing like Jermay's. Sorry for being the jerk posting this but I'm just saying what needs to be said. He can slow down somebody's watch and slow down TIME as well. Then he slow down time again for one person and they are supposed to lift their hand in one second. It takes minutes! No stooges. It really was one second to them. Then he reverses time 30 minutes and now it's 8:00 again instead of 8:30 and it's really 8:00. Pulse look cool but why are we hyping up a simple pulse-stop effect? Get a bundled sock and "Magic for Tots" it's been done to death. Whoa! Pun!

Hey Sands.

Just to address your concerns: The routine you're referring to is "For Andruzzi" (which can be found in 7 Deceptions and on Jermay's Skullduggery DVD, I believe). As Houchin has pointed out, Control is different from Jermay's routine. The spectators involved have a different experience and you can do different things with both because of the methods involved. In fact, as Houchin points out on the DVD, Control can work beautifully within the confines of "For Andruzzi."

Of course, not every effect is going to be for everyone, but I have a feeling that this effect might surprise you if you give it an honest chance to. Check out the DVD. If you've still got the same opinion, post it in the Product Reviews forum so people have a balanced set of reviews to read.
